Mandy El-Sayegh Works Acquired by International Collections

The CC Foundation & Art Center, the Elie Khouri Private Collection, and The Ramzi and Saeda Dalloul Art Foundation (DAF)
We're pleased to announce the following acquisitions of works by Mandy El-Sayegh by important international collections: 

The CC Foundation & Art Center, Shanghai, China

Burning Square: Evening Blessing (2023) was acquired by CC Foundation & Art Center.

Founded by Mr. David Chau in Shanghai in 2015, the foundation comprises works by almost 250 artists with a primary focus on emerging and mid-career artists. particularly women from the Pacific Rim and the Global South

 

 

The Elie Khouri Private Collection, Dubai, UAE

 Burning Square: Free From (2023) was acquired by Elie Khouri Private Collection - which began in the late 2000s with an acquisition of a Nabil Nahas painting, and has since expanded by 30 to 35 works annually.

 

Featuring a diverse range from abstraction to figuration, the collection includes notable artists such as Julie Curtiss, Dana Schutz, and Kehinde Wiley. Showcased in a 2021 exhibition at the Arts Club of Dubai, it spans established names and emerging talents, reflecting Khouri's broad curatorial interests.

 

 

 

The Ramzi and Saeda Dalloul Art Foundation (DAF), Beirut, Lebanon

 Burning Square: freedom of goods (2023) was acquired by The Ramzi and Saeda Dalloul Art Foundation (DAF) - a Beirut-based cultural institution, and home to an extensive collection of modern and contemporary visual art from the Arab World.

Their mission encompasses preservation, documentation, archiving, publication, research, exhibitions, and cultural events, all aimed at preserving and making Arab art accessible.
Featuring a diverse range from abstraction to figuration, the collection includes notable artists such as Julie Curtiss, Dana Schutz, and Kehinde Wiley. Showcased in a 2021 exhibition at the Arts Club of Dubai, it spans established names and emerging talents, reflecting Khouri's broad curatorial interests.

 


About the Artist
Mandy El-Sayegh (b.1985) was born in Selangor, Malaysia, and is of Chinese and Palestinian heritage. Based in London, El-Sayegh's work explores how social, cultural, and political orders are constructed and deconstructed by collaging diverse materials such as newsprint, maps, anatomy books, calligraphy, and latex to transform gallery spaces into immersive experiences

She holds a BA from the University of Westminster (2007) and an MA from the Royal College of Art (2009).

Her work is in major collections including LACMA, Sharjah Art Foundation, Institute of Contemporary Art North Miami, Start Museum, and Tate.
