We are thrilled to announce that Shaikha Al Mazrou’s ‘Red Stack’ has been unveiled at the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens located in a remote part of Cornwall overlooking St Michael’s Mount. Neil Armstrong and his wife Jane Martin developed the site into a sculpture park in 1997. ‘Red Stack’ is on view alongside works by artists such as James Turrell, Richard Long, Kishio Suga, and Nathaniel Rackowe and will remain in situ for a year.
‘Red Stack’ develops the forms and language of Al Mazrou’s inflated and folded steel sculptures, which in turn resemble helium balloons or giant displays of origami. It was the first sculpture by an Emirati or GCC-based artist to be shown at Frieze Sculpture Park, London, alongside some of the biggest names in the Sculpture such as Alicja Kwade, Ugo, Rondinone and Robert Indiana.
