Larissa Sansour's first solo exhibition at Dar El-Nimer for Arts and Culture, titled Sci-Fi Trilogy opens on 11 April. The exhibition brings together three of Sansour’s films – A Space Exodus(2009), Nation Estate (2012) and In the Future They Ate From the Finest Porcelain (2016).
Using the language of sci-fi and glossy production, Sansour’s trilogy presents a dystopian vision of a Middle East on the brink of the apocalypse. The three films are shown alongside related installations, sculptural and photographic works.
On 12 April, Sansour will lead a guided tour of the exhibition from 11 AM - 12.30 PM. On the same day she will give a talk about her show from 7 - 8 PM in the auditorium. Screenings of Sansour's sci-fi trilogy will be held in the auditorium on 17 April, between 7 - 7.45 PM.
The exhibition continues until 6 June 2018.
