Hamra Abbas and Nadia Kaabi-Linke are set to participate in the first edition of the Karachi Biennale, which opens on 22 October and continues until 5 November 2017.
The biennale will present artistic content that addresses topics and initiates discussion under a conceptual framework titled Witness, showcasing projects that interact with the public to create a platform that is both democratic and accessible.
Abbas will present One Rug, Any Colour (2016), Bodies (2016), Plastic Flowers I and II (2016) at the biennale. Kaabi-Linke will exhibit her video work No (2012) and a new performance piece that references an earlier work titled Smell (2012) that will take place during the exhibition period. Read more.
