Shahpour Pouyan is set to exhibit his largest solo museum exhibition to date, and first solo museum show in the US, Winter in Paradise, at the Frist Art Museum, Nashville, Tennessee, on May 30th (curated by Trinita Kennedy).
Presented across three galleries, the exhibition explores architectural symbols of power and wartime monument destruction. It showcases Pouyan's famed drawings, ceramic sculptures, and his debut virtual reality installation. The immersive experience, set in a chilled room, invites viewers to explore a medieval Persian mosque's interior.
