The inspiration for Parable came from observing antennas in sand dunes and exploring the concept of communication. The piece is a fusion of nature, architecture, and urbanity, utilizing essential forms like the triangle, rectangle and the circle. The installation includes a rock discovered on the Samaca beaches, shaped over time by clams drilling holes as they make it their home—nature's sculptors of the sea. The artist emphasizes the relationship between the human mind and nature and the transformative aspect of heavy materials in gallery spaces. The work invites viewers to step into the half-circle, shaping their perspective of the work and creating a unique interactive experience. Touching on the significance of scale, positioning, and communication, Parable draws parallels with acoustic conchs and architectural designs by Mexican-Spanish architect Candela.
