Shaikha Al Mazrou is interested in the effect of color, how do we feel about a color, how do we respond to a color, what influences us in a color that makes us behave in a certain way? How do we favor a color, if we do? She often feels stuck in a spider web between meaning and art, maybe not art itself but more spontaneous expression that comes from categories such as an artwork. The amalgamation of both encourages her immensely. Two resin blocks displayed on the floor, minimal in their aesthetics, poetic in their meaning, that attempt to give form, both a thought and a sensation.
